Luigi Scavino has steadily kept his tiny Castiglione Falletto based Barolo estate in the ‘First Division’ of producers for nearly two decades. This is a true family estate which gathers great loyalty for its hospitality and the style of their delicious wines. They excel in Nebbiolo from Castiglione and the neighbouring commune, the famous Serralunga.
  
One of Azelia’s famous Barolos, from older vines (40 years +) on their own small vineyard in the commune of Castiglione Falletto. This shows vibrant, but very deep characters of smoke, licorice, dark raspberry and spices. With a good breathing it’s great now, but from such a top vintage it should be cellared.
