Luigi Scavino has steadily kept his tiny Castiglione Falletto based Barolo estate in the ‘First Division’ of producers for nearly two decades. This is a true family estate which gathers great loyalty for its hospitality and the style of their delicious wines. They excel in Nebbiolo from Castiglione and the neighbouring commune, the famous Serralunga.
 
 
One of Azelia’s famous Barolos, from older vines (40 years +) on their own small vineyard in the commune of Serralunga. This top vineyard shows very deep characters of smoke, porcini stock, blackest fruits, licorice and spices -  and must have a good breathing before use - although it really should be cellared.
