Producer: Villa Tonino The Curatolo family founded Tonino near the middle of the historic town of Marsala, in 1875. They continue to master the art of true, traditional Marsala - alongside brilliant modern table wines from higher altitude vineyards inland at Caltanisetta - vibrant whites and reds from local varieties – and sealed by screwcap! Superiore is high quality Marsala, of (at least) two years of age and from low-yield DOC Marsala grape varieties. This has more complexities with aromas of sultanas, dried figs and flowers with caramel and cinnamon notes. A great dessert or after dinner wine for pastries and baked fruits and custards. |
