Some think this version by Clelia Romano, from a series of small vineyards in the Avellino Hills, is the best, always receiving, for example, Tre Bicchieri. Hers are certainly leaders of this, and Campania‘s other main variety, Aglianico At an altitude of 500 metres, the Fiano here ripens later than most and takes time to develop rich flavours and layers of complexity that are the hallmark of this top Fiano. It’s brimming with melon and mineral characters which are all kept tight as, by fine, almost severe structure. |
