Producer: Lavacchio In the hills of the Chianti Rufina zone, just above Florence, Faye Lettero‘s ancient property, the complete agriturismo, exudes hospitality and quality. The Chianti ‘Cedro‘ is unusually rich, but authentic, with Rufina‘s earthy and nervy core. Vin Santo, from traditional varieties (Trebbiano and Malvasia) is classical. Lavacchio’s is a traditionally made Vin Santo, from the original white varieties, Trebbiano and Malvasia and made with a natural fermentation in the small barrels called caratelli. This is a bright and lively semi-sweet dessert wine, with gorgeous characters of apricot and almond and finishing almost dry.
